16 November 2009 – San Souci, Haiti
Haiti’s premier tourist attraction is the Citadelle, a massive fort high on a mountain. At the foot of the mountain is San Souci, which was more of a palace than a fort. Here are some pictures of what is left.

"The years thunder by. The dreams of Youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of Patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed."
- Sterling Hayden
"I am continuing non-stop towards the Pacific Islands because I am happy at sea, and perhaps also to save my soul."

"Myths and legends die hard in America. We love them for the extra dimension they provide, the illusion of near-infinite possibility to erase the narrow confines of most men's reality.Weird heroes and mold-breaking champions exist as living proof to those who need it that the tyranny of 'the rat race' is not yet final."
